I believe that I am very fortunate to have a job that I love and to manage a strong team that makes a positive difference in our resident's lives.

Mrs Helen Johnson- Activities Coordinator

I have been an unpaid carer for most of my life and have been in Bryn Derwen since 2013. I am passionate about person centred activities and have qualifications in:

  • RSA Award in Care

  • BA Hons and an MA in Fine Art

  • NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care

I love my job and I see the residents as my extended family. I am very fortunate to be working in a home that is dedicated with providing our residents with safe, comfortable and stimulating activities and environments which genuinely enable a person to live with their dementia, and not just exist.
